Part II

CUT TO: SPACE

The episode opens with an establishing shot of a fleet of Mandalorian gauntlet fighters, Sarisa-class gunships, and Gozanti-class cruisers in hyperspace. Cut to the interior of Maul's quarters. He meditates in the center of the room.

MAUL: Mother... Mother, I implore you... I seek your guidance.

Suddenly, Maul's chest rips open and a green cloud of smoke bellows out.

TALZIN: Do not fight me, my child. Become my vessel. Speak to me, my beloved son.

The cloud forms into the shape of Mother Talzin drеssed in all red robes.

MAUL: I havе done as you wished. The power I amassed lured your enemy, Sidious. He captured me, but I escaped his grasp.

TALZIN: We must assume that he allowed you to break free. With Sidious, nothing is ever as it seems. We must be this way, as well.

MAUL: You are wise as ever, Mother. Grievous and his droid army have driven us from Zanbar. We are wounded but alive. What is your guidance.

TALZIN: Sidious will expect you to retreat to my protection. We will not do this. Lead your fleet to Ord Mantell. Your allies -- Black Sun -- have a stronghold there. Gather your strength and prepare yourself our next move is critical.

The cloud slowly starts to disintegrate. Maul reaches out his hand.

MAUL: Will you meet me there, Mother?

TALZIN: I will not. However, aid from Dathomir shall soon be yours. Our victory will be total and complete.

CUT TO: ORD MANTELL ORBIT

The Shadow Collective fleet heads to the planet Ord Mantell. Cut to the planet's surface, where the fleet flies towards Ord Mantell City. Cut to the inside of a war room. Maul is with Ziton Moj, Fife, Gar Saxon, and Rook.

MAUL: A battle is coming my brothers. A battle between the Sith and that which they fear the most -- us.

ZITON: You inspire us all, Lord Maul. But do you truly intend to fight Count Dooku and his Separatist legions?

MAUL: Their forces are mindless droids, Ziton Moj. Take out their leadership and they all fall down. These clone wars have vastly overextended Dooku and General Grievous. They are more vulnerable than they realize.

FIFE: And they remain unaware of our true numbers.

MAUL: Precisely, Fife. We can attack them directly. When Dooku and Grievous arrive, we'll be waiting to trap them in their own net.

CUT TO: SPACE

The Separatist fleet flies through hyperspace. Cut to the bridge on the Invisible Hand. Grievous sits in his seat with Tey-Zuka at his side. Count Dooku enters the room.

GRIEVOUS: Our spies report Mandalorian war-ships amassing on Ord Mantell. Which only confirms that Black Sun in league with Maul's syndicate.

DOOKU: And it is there that he gathers his army, General. We cannot strike until we have confirmation that Talzin is there with him.

GRIEVOUS: Why is this witch so important, my Lord? She has no army -- no power compared to ours.

DOOKU: Talzin is an older and fouler creature than you guess, General. Her power runs deep. Her teachings -- her magick -- were sought out by my Master. They were once allies. Now her meddling could compromise all of our designs. She must be destroyed.

TEY-ZUKA: Sir -- Reconnaissance droids near Dathomir report a single trans-port shuttle left the planet moments ago.

GRIEVOUS: Were they able to scan the ship?

TEY-ZUKA: Unable to confirm. Also unable to determine its exact trajectory, but Ord Mantell is a possibility.

DOOKU: The witch may be attempting to reach Maul even as we speak. Input coordinates to Ord Mantell and instruct the fleet to follow us into hyperspace. When we arrive, you will command the bombardment from orbit, General... And you will leave Talzin to me.

CUT TO: ORD MANTELL, DAY

There is an establishing shot of a war room exterior. Cut inside. Maul and the others gather around a holotable with a hologram of Ord Mantell City.

MAUL: Their attack will begin by air. Ground forces will be committed only after they believe the battle is won. We lure them into the chokepoints here. Use their numbers against them...

There is a shot of Saxon, now in full armor, preparing the Shadow Collective forces.

MAUL: (CONT'D) Once we draw them in, the Mandalorians will lead the Pykes and Black Sun's mercenaries in a full scale counterattack. What we lack in numbers, we'll make up in superior ability and mastery of the terrain.

A supercommando enters the room.

SUPERCOMMANDO: Lord Maul -- We have an incoming transport from Dathomir.

MAUL: Saxon -- With me. Kast -- bring the others up to speed on the rest of my plan.

Cut outside to a landing bay. A crowd of Mandalorians gather behind Maul and watch as a Dathomirian transport shuttle lands in the bay. The boarding ramp lowers and a group of Zabraks led by Brother Viscus exits.

VISCUS: Lord Maul. I am Brother Viscus. Mother Talzin sent us to aid you.

MAUL: Nightbrothers. Pure warriors. Mother has chosen well. I sense... The droids are here.

Cut to the bridge of Grievous's command ship as it shoots out of hyperspace above Ord Mantell.

GRIEVOUS: Fire!

With that, every ship in the fleet blasts down at the planet's surface. Cut to the city. Laserfire rains down from the sky. As explosions destroy the city, people scatter. Cut to the landing bay.

MAUL: They are upon us! Take your positions! brother Viscus -- There is no time for a briefing. Take your Nightbrothers to my command center and wait for my word. Saxon -- You know what to do. prepare for their ground assault. Hold them at bay until we're in position.

He runs inside.

SAXON: You heard him -- Let's go scrap some droids! Victory or Death!

The Mandalorians chant after him. Cut to somewhere in the city. A fleet of Separatist landing crafts fly around the city. Cut inside the bridge to Grievous's ship, where he and Tey-Zuka look over a hologram of the city.

TEY-ZUKA: Infantry deployed, sir.

GRIEVOUS: Good, Tey-Zuka. We have them on the run!

There is a shot of one of the landing crafts on the surface. Battalions of battle droids exit the craft and fight off the Shadow Collective forces that are being lead by Gar Saxon.

GRIEVOUS: (CONT'D) Once our droids take control of the city -- Maul's forces will be insects under our heels!

Cut to further outside the city. A solar sailer drops down onto a landing platform. The door opens and Count Dooku steps out, flanked by two Magna Guards.

DOOKU: Find Maul and the witch Talzin -- No other targets matter. Level the city until they are found!

The droids rush off into the city. Dooku gazes at the destruction from Grievous's fleet. Cut to Grievous and Tey-Zuka in the bridge.

TEY-ZUKA: All gunnery decks are reloaded and recharged, sir. The fleet is ready to resume bombardment on your order.

GRIEVOUS: Not yet -- Something isn't right. We know Maul has several Mandalorian warships at his disposal, but we've seen no aerial support protecting the city. So where are they?

TEY-ZUKA: I calculate these warships were destroyed before they could lift off.

Suddenly, the ship rocks and there is fire and sparks in the bridge.

GRIEVOUS: No! They weren't destroyed -- They were luring us into a trap!

Cut outside. The Mandalorian gauntlet fighters maneuver through the Separatist fleet, destroying their ships.

MAUL: Focus on the command ship while the fleet's cannons are still aimed at the planet.

Cut inside the cockpit of Rook's starfighter. She is at the wheel.

MAUL: (CONT'D) When we capture Grievous, the droid armies will fall along with him.

CUT TO: ORD MANTELL, COMMAND CENTER

Count Dooku examines the rubble. The Magna Guards stand behind him. Suddenly they are taken down by spears. sparks fly and they crumble to the ground.

VISCUS: Welcome, Count. Mother Talzin sends her regards. We have come to deal with you in her place.

The Nightbrothers surround Dooku.

DOOKU: You will find that task beyond your abilities, Nightbrothers.

He ignites his lightsaber. Cut outside. Gar Saxon, a Falleen soldier, and a Pyke hide behind the remains of a building.

FALLEEN SOLDIER: This isn't a counter attack -- It's a slaughter.

PYKE: He's right!

FALLEEN SOLDIER: I don't know what Lord Maul's big plan is, but it's not working.

SAXON: Rein it in soldier. We don't question the strategy -- We ensure its success. We just have to last long enough to--

Before he can finish, a B2 grapple droid smashes his arms through the wall, grabbing the Pyke.

PYKE: Ah! Help me!

CUT TO: ORD MANTELL ORBIT

The Separatist and Mandalorians are locked in deadly combat. Many ships are destroyed. Cut inside Rook's ship.

MAUL: Closer! Bring us in closer to the command ship! There! as soon as we're underneath their firing range -- attach to their ship! Prepare a boarding party. We're going to take this fight right to Grievous!

The ship lowers down onto the Invisible Hand's hull. A view from inside the ship shows a hole being cut into the ceiling.

CUT TO: ORD MANTELL, COMMAND CENTER

Dooku continues to fight off the Zabraks. After blocking numerous attacks, he manages to cut off one's hands. They keep coming after him, until finally, he uses his electricity to shock four of them. Viscus, however, isn't caught. He runs and jumps at Dooku, his weapon in the air.

VISCUS: Now you die!

CUT TO: INVISIBLE HAND, BRIDGE

Grievous observes the battle.

TEY-ZUKA: They have boarded our ship! I am unable to--

MAUL: One warning -- Disconnect the droids' command signal... Or die.

He uses the force to throw all the surrounding battle droids into the control panels.

BATTLE DROID: Uh-oh.

Maul runs and smashes Grievous into the window. He holds the Darksaber to his throat.

MAUL: Or do both -- It matters not to me.

Cut to Ord Mantell. The Shadow Collective forces are gathered together. They kneel on the ground with their hands on their heads. dozens of droids surround them with their weapons ready.

BATTLE DROID: What do we do with them?

SUPER BATTLE DROID: Our orders are to take no prisoners.

SAXON: You fought hard, men. It's been an honor.

Suddenly, with a wirr, the droids go limp.

SAXON: Their command signal just went dead!

The soldiers start destroying all the droids.

SUPERCOMMANDO: Tear them apart!

Cut to the command center. Viscus and Dooku continue their battle.

VISCUS: You are formidable, Count -- This will be a victory well earned.

He does a flip over Dooku.

DOOKU: Know this, Brother Viscus --

He catches him in midair with the force.

DOOKU: (CONT'D) I will destroy you... Then Maul --

He slams him on the ground.

DOOKU: (CONT'D) And finally Talzin. You're people will be but a memory.

He holds his saber to Viscus's throat.

SAXON: That's far enough, Dooku!

The Shadow Collective forces come in, their weapons aimed at the Sith Lord.

CUT TO: INVISIBLE HAND, BRIDGE

Maul stands amidst the broken battle droids. Green smoke comes from his chest again and forms into Talzin.

MAUL: It is done, Mother. Dooku and Grievous have been captured. We now control their forces.

TALZIN: You have done well, my son. Soon Sidious will follow... And together we will have our revenge.

She lays her hand on the side of Maul's face.
